Make It Happen, Be Positive!

Never diminish your stature,
for there are many others that will be willing to do this for you,
Build on your positives and reflect and learn from your negatives,
but the most important thing in life is to be,
Positive, positive, positive!

If you believe that you are not as good as them now,
convince and tell yourself that you will be soon,
For your time is coming and you will make it happen,
but the most important thing in life is to be,
Positive, positive, positive!

You need not be conceited as this would defeat the objective,
confidence is all that is needed in this world of total reality,
But remember the most important of all things in life is to be,
Positive, positive, positive!

Now that all your negatives have gone,
just think about all the time you've spent worrying about them,
Aren't you pleased that you've realised that the most important thing in life is to be,
Positive, positive, positive!

The Path of Life

I can't see ahead, I'm so confused,
Scared of walking a similar path and ending up being used,
A fear of not knowing, in an uncertain world of boundaries,
To take the leap of faith always leaves us with quandaries.

But which way is the right direction?
Who has the capacity and intelligence to tell me?
I decide which way I should turn,
but the route I should take is never clear to see,
People let you down, time and time again,
It would be nice to think that you become immune to pain.

This will never happen, so what are the choices?
Making your own mind up, or listening to others voices,
Don't close off your ears, because combined wisdom is rare,
There are few people on this planet that these words I would share.

List your priorities and work on them one by one,
If you try to remedy several at once they'll never be gone,
The clock is ticking and getting ever faster,
It's time to decide whether you want to be slave or the master?

You're a Special

You're a special friend
Who I know is always there
Someone to share my life with
Every hope, dream, and care

Whenever I feel sad, or alone
You're always there to make me smile
It's friends like you who I know
Won't leave me after a while

Special friends like you
mean the world to me
When I think of something special
It is your face I see

All the time I've spent with you
Puts a smile upon my face
I hope one day I'll be with you again
Somehow, Sometime, Someplace

You mean a lot to me and I would
Do anything in the world for you
So, no matter what's going on in your life
Just know you have someone to turn to.

You're a special person
I care a lot about you
I wish I could say how special you are
Only if you knew...

Peace Of Mind

Is there no peace in this world

No freedom from pain and worry

Will there always be anxiety

Over sins we cannot bury?

Our Holy God reminds us,

Work Six days  every week,

On the seventh day we shall rest,

And listen for Him to speak.

When we follow His commandments

And take time to hear His Word,

We refresh our mind and spirit

Our lives to undergird

We need to seek Him often

In a quiet place,
And chat with Him like family,

To find His cherished grace.

He wants to hear our voices,

Say, "I love and trust you, Father God.

Thank Him for His love and mercy,

And smile instead of sob.

He gets enormous pleasure,

From our sincere prayer,

When we treat like a real Father,

 He goes with us everywhere.

Peace of mind is His gift,

To carry us through a cloudy day,

Spend all the time you can,

Along the straight and narrow way.

Make the time to meet with Him,

On this busy road of life,

And peace will heal your sorrows,

And free you from gloom and strife.

A New Year's Day

O Thou whose glory fills the heavens,
Whose bounty clothes the earth,
To Thee a poem of thanks we raise
For blessings from our birth.

For that untiring love Thou dost,
From day to day renew,
O may it on our hearts descend
Like heaven-distilled dew.

For mercy great, unending still,
Which gave up to the grave
Thine only Son, the Sinless One,
Our sinful souls to save.

While entering on another year
Our cares on Thee we cast,
Beseeching aid in days to come
Which cheered us through the past.

That still the freedom may be ours
To kneel down in Thy sight,
And worship Thee at shut of day,
And in the morning light.

That from temptation's fatal paths
Thou turn our steps away;
And keep us from unholy thoughts
That lead the mind astray.

No more may lust of worldly wealth
Command thoughts that are thine;
Nor may we envy other's lot,
Or at our own repine.

Than all the riches earth can boast
Or gems beneath the sea,
We know the pious, humble heart,
More precious is to Thee.

How needful, then, to train our thoughts,
And fan the heavenly flame
Of faith, in the believing heart,
Triumphing o'er sin and shame

And holding by the Word, thou hast
For grace and guidance given,
Pass trough this world in holy fear,
True candidates for heaven.

Beautiful Dream

Like wings of a hummingbird
My heart flutters feverishly
My passion burning like fire
I feel heat where my lungs would be

From deep down in my soul
To the ends of every strand of hair
I quiver with excitement
Of the feeling of you being there

I close my eyes
And take you in
I smell your smell
I feel your skin

My fingers tremble
My toes begin to curl
My breathing heavy’s
My thoughts start to whirl

I reach out my hand
To touch your sweet lips
The thought of you near me
Makes my heartbeat skip

My hand swoops through the air
Like a hawk on its prey
I reach for you and feel for you
But to my hands dismay

There’s nothing there but dust and air
To grab and pull my way
I hold my breath and loosen my grip
My heart goes cold and gray

I fill my lungs with empty air
That’s cold and stings like ice
My heartbeat slows and the rhythm dies
And tears fall once, then twice

The hours, days and weeks of time
Cannot erase our love
That longing for your touch and kiss
Recreate all that I know of

My mind plays tricks, my eyes see you
I get caught up in what seems
The memory that I have of you
Creates the fantasy in my dreams

Even though I hate to wake
And find you nowhere near
If dreams are all I have of you
I’ll dream to feel you here.

Life Begins When You Do

Walk to the edge.
Listen hard. Laugh. Play with abandon.
Practice wellness.
Continue to learn.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Lead or follow a leader.
Do what you love.
Live as if this is all there is.

Your purpose, that thing that among the many to-dos of your days, is what you must do. Embrace the truth of your purpose each minute of your precious life...for how very true it is that life begins when you do.

If you would dream it
BEGIN it.

If you have an idea
OPEN it.

If there is longing
ACKNOWLEDGE it.

If there is mission
COMMIT it.

If there is daring
DO it.

If there is love
SPEAK it.

If there is resource
USE it.

If there is abundance
SHARE it.
This is based on Mary Anne's famous poem - her statement of purpose - Live with Intention. This  reminds me of the “when  and  what then” syndrome that so many of us follow as we journey our life. So, why wait another minute? The life you’re waiting for…begins when you do!

In Your Eyes

I love your eyes, those twinkling eyes,
They speak of a thousand things.

It glows and I drown in its intensity,
I would love to stay there forever.

It evokes myriad memories,
And leaves an imprint on me.

I consider myself lucky enough,
To have experienced its warmth.

When cupid's arrow strikes,
The world seems appareled in celestial light,
Like the glory and freshness of your eyes.

Just like the morning dew,
Exotic and beautiful.

Every time I look into your eyes,
I'm lost in innumerable memories,
Thus forgetting the world behind me.

I wouldn't expect anything much,
Than just being the Apple of your eye.
